Healthcare advocacy group Healthy California Now has released a new online tool that allows individuals and families to calculate just how much money they will save every year if the state passes a Medicare for All bill. According to the calculator, a typical California family will save more than $16,000 annually, even after higher taxes are factored in. Yet Governor Gavin Newsom, who campaigned on passing single payer healthcare in the state of California, has steadfastly ignored the topic ever since while pocketing big donation checks from the healthcare industry.
